“Afikei Torah Night Out”
Tuesday morn dawned brightly
With hopes of something new
With lots of free time in Afikei
We’ll find something to do
Maybe to the mall
Or the Tachana to look
To Center 1, to Ben Yehuda
Or to go check out the Shuk
“Oh no” a fear begins to creep
It’s great to have time out
But not when you can’t count on
Getting away, going about
Slowly, sadly, reality
Begins to sink right in
To bowling, pizza, town, hotels
No forthcoming permission!
And so those bored Afikei girls
Begin to groan “oh no”!
Yes there’s lots of time on Tuesday
But little place to go!
A full winter coming closer
Seems claustrophobic at the start
8 months packed in Trevy’s Pizza
Just doesn’t seem that smart!
Where to go? What to do?
Some of us might like fun!
Isn’t there any place more interesting
Than Rechov Uziel that we can run?
How ‘bout let’s explore
Instead of in our own dorm sitting
Hanging out in teacher’s homes!
No sirree, I am not kidding
An Afikei Torah night out
Every while someplace new
To give a fresh splash of adventure
And something fun that you may do
Come and join in our nights out!
Come and join now, don’t be cowards
You’ll be surprised to see what teachers act like
When you’ll meet them after hours!!!
